NPP Decides: Sheila Bartels loses Ablekuma North to Nana Akua Owusu Afriyieh

Nana Akua Owusu Afriyieh has defeated Sheila Bartels, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, in a fiercely contested race for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary ticket.

The final tally saw Nana Akua Owusu Afriyieh securing 756 votes, while Sheila Bartels garnered 637 votes.

The Ablekuma North constituency witnessed a high voter turnout, with party members eager to participate in the selection of their preferred candidate to represent them in the upcoming elections.

In the aftermath of the announcement, supporters of Nana Akua Owusu Afriyieh erupted in jubilation, celebrating their candidate’s success.
