Leader of the minority in Parliament, Cassiel Ato Forson, has leveled accusations against the ruling government (NPP), accusing them of mishandling the country’s affairs.

He made this statement in response to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s vision for the country if elected president. The minority challenged him to introduce a bill in Parliament to remove taxes immediately if he truly stands by his words.

“Now that NPP is in office and the vice president indeed is the chairman of the economic management team and second in command in Akufo Addo’s administration he has whatever it takes to bring a Bill to Parliament to remove the taxes”he lamented.

Mr. Ato Forson stated that the vice president has lost credibility, citing Dr. Bawumia’s involvement in drafting the E-levy bill. He criticized the vice president’s proposal to abolish these taxes if elected into power, deeming it disgraceful and shameful.
