FC Samartex has clinched the historic 2023/24 Ghana Premier League title after defeating Bibiani Gold Stars.

Samartex emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over Gold Stars at the Nsenkyire Stadium in a matchweek 32 fixture, thanks to Emmanuel Mamah’s decisive strike in the 45th minute.

This win propels the Samreboi-based club to 58 points, securing their position at the top of the league table.

Meanwhile, Aduana Stars and Medeama, who were in close pursuit of Samartex, both suffered 1-0 losses to Bechem United and Heart of Lions, respectively.

With 49 points each and only two games remaining in the season, they can no longer catch up to Samartex.

This achievement marks Samartex’s first-ever Ghana Premier League title in just their second season in the Ghanaian topflight, following an impressive and relentless run of form.
