The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has expressed strong disapproval of the widespread corruption afflicting Ghana.

In a recent interview with Citi FM on Sunday, June 2, the King criticized the political elite for their extravagant lifestyles financed by public funds, while the general population remains in dire poverty.

King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II underscored the stark contrast between the political class and ordinary citizens, expressing sorrow over the lack of basic amenities in rural communities.

He highlighted the stark contrast in living conditions, noting that while citizens struggle for basic necessities, politicians drive luxurious V8 vehicles.

The King questioned how such expensive vehicles are easily acquired, while essential items like dual desks for students are difficult to provide.

He emphasized that these misplaced priorities have created significant socio-economic challenges for the nation’s youth.

Additionally, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II called on the government to take immediate and decisive action against corruption.

He emphasized that tackling this issue is essential for the well-being of the citizens and cautioned that failure to act could lead to unforeseen consequences.

It beats my mind how someone who says they love this country so much could stash so much money in their room.

“Corruption is everywhere. I believe that the government must find a way to stamp its authority on corruption,” he urged.
