Ambulance saga: Dame speaks out, vows to evade traps

After days of silence, Attorney General and Minister of Justice Godfred Yeboah Dame has finally spoken in response to the release of an audio recording by the opposition National Democratic Congress, which purportedly captures a conversation between him and Richard Jakpa, a key figure in the contentious defective ambulance case, sparking controversy and public debate. The Attorney General, Godfred Dame, is facing allegations of professional misconduct and ethical breaches following the release of an audio recording by the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The recording allegedly captures Dame providing guidance to Richard Jakpa, a defendant in the ambulance case, on how to testify in court in a manner that would undermine the credibility of Dr. Ato Forson, the Minority Leader. This development has led the NDC to question Dame’s credibility to lead the Ghana Bar Association and his continued tenure as Attorney General and Minister of Justice.Following his appearance in court today June 4, the first since the controversial audio recording surfaced, Attorney General Godfred Dame expressed his trust in divine guidance.”I trust in the Lord’s justice, for He does not take pleasure in the schemes of the wicked. Though they have set traps for me, I will escape and righteousness will ultimately triumph over evil,” Attorney General Godfred Dame declared.
