Don’t just plant, take good care of it - Director of Prisons in charge of Agriculture Director of Prisons, in charge of Agriculture, DOP. Hanson Adu Awuku has advised Ghanaians not to only plant trees but also take good care of them. According to him, trees are very essential in the lives of humans hence tree planting should be encouraged. He made this statement as part of this year’s Green Ghana Day celebrations where he said, “This year the target is to plant 10 million trees so we should all ensure to plant at least one tree. Not only to plant the tree but you plant and take very good care of it”. He advised Ghanaians not to just plant the trees and leave them without paying attention but take good care of it. “We should all try as much as possible to help achieve this government strategy in ensuring that our lost forests are restored. This will benefit all of us, so we should all come together and make sure we are a part of this process” he emphasized.
