Kadevi Selasy, the Communication Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Awutu Senya West Constituency, has reportedly been found dead in Nkwadum, a suburb of Awutu Bontrase in the Central Region.
According to an Accra-based radio station, Mr. Selasy was discovered hanging on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Prior to this, he had called his wife twice in the early hours of Wednesday to accompany him to the restroom.
His wife reportedly accompanied him the first time but declined his second request. Consequently, Kadevi went alone and did not return after some time.
The anxious wife went to look for him and found him dead. His body has been taken to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation.
The police have also started an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his sudden death.
