The Deputy National Communications Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Asiedu Kokuro has revealed the party executives plan to organize primaries to select a new parliamentary candidate for the Manhyia South Constituency.
This development comes on the heels of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s (NAPO) endorsement as the running mate of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on July 4.
In an interview on Happy98.9FM’s morning show with Fati Shaibu-Ali, Mr Asiedu Kokuro explained that the party will follow its constitutional procedures to ensure a fair and transparent process, aimed at electing a competent and dedicated candidate to represent the NPP in the Manhyia South Constituency for the 2024 elections.
He emphasized the party’s commitment to democratic values and its determination to ensure a smooth transition in the constituency. The primaries are expected to take place in the coming weeks.
