The minority in Parliament is asking the government to explain why light goes off in Parliament. According to them, they don’t understand why the light went off in Parliament when the government claims there is no load shedding. They argued that the black out n parliament goes to show that government’s claim of consistent power supply are false.
Addressing the media in parliament, the minority lead by John Jinapor, Member of Parliament for Yapei Kusawgu constituency after the light went off said they want to know the cause of the power outage in parliament.
“At a meeting chaired by Atta Kyea, all the entities and the Stakeholders from generation, transmission, distribution and the regulators were present and officially disclosed that since January the utilities companies have been shedding load because they do not have enough money to procure fuel. So for the President and minister of energy to deliberately peddle that level of falsehood beats our imagination”, he said.
