NPP Communications Officer calls on government to fix Sunyani Township roads

Communication Officer of Sunyani East Constituency for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Abubakari Yakubu popularly known as Baba Amando is appealing to the government and the Ministry of Roads to take immediate action to repair and reconstruct the poorly built Sunyani Township roads. These roads, which were constructed during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, have become a source of concern for residents and motorists due to their deplorable state.

In an interview with Happy Kaseɛbɔ, Yakubu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the NPP-led government and the Member of Parliament for Sunyani East Constituency, Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, for their tremendous support and contributions to road construction in Sunyani. He highlighted several notable projects, including the Area 1 (COCOBOD) link, Dr. Berko Roads, Social Welfare Roads, Nkwaben North Roads, and the Nana Bosoma Market to Penkwasi high tension road, among others.

However, Yakubu was critical of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2016 road construction project of Sunyani Township Roads, stating that the low-quality work and inferior materials used led to significant damage within just a year. Despite efforts by their MP, Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, to address the issue and get the road fixed, the NDC government’s inaction and lack of concern hindered progress.

Yakubu is now calling on government to rectify the situation by reconstructing the deteriorated Sunyani Township Roads, which were poorly built by the previous NDC administration. He emphasized the need for urgent attention to this matter to prevent further deterioration and ensure the safety and well-being of residents and motorists.
