The Vice presidential Candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has urged voters in the Ashanti Region not vote for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO told voters in the Ashanti Region that anyone who votes for the NDC is a nation wrecker.

NAPO while speaking to voter’s at Abby’s Park in Kumasi after a walk organized by the NPP’s wing in the Manhyia South Constituency said they have performed incredibly well than the NDC so voting against them as a resident of the Ashanti Region means you are against progress.

“If you are in the Ashanti Region and you vote for the NDC, you are a nation wrecker because the NDC didn’t do anything in the Ashanti Region for you to reward them with votes.”

“The NDC didn’t do any better for us in the Ashanti Region. They collapsed NHIS and brought capitation. Mahama told us even if he constructs all our roads with gold he will still lose so he won’t do it for us. So why will you vote for them.”

General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Koduah also urged voters in the Ashanti Region to vote massively for them because the NPP won’t win the election without massive votes from the region.

“If we don’t get 75-80 percent votes in the Ashanti Region, we won’t get what we are looking for and that is to win the elections.”
