The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha says the NDC is no competition in the 2024 polls.

According to him, the only obstacle to the party’s victory is the actions of its own members.

He stated that the NDC is the least of their problems, emphasizing that the opposition is not stronger than the NPP and that there is nothing more the NDC can do to surpass them.

He highlighted that the NPP is larger in numbers compared to the NDC, and they are the majority party in Ghana. This, he explained, is why he believes the NDC is not a significant concern going into the 2024 election.

Speaking to a group of party supporters, he noted that if the party is determined to win the election, they will succeed. However, if they don’t want it, they might as well go home. He told members that in the very unlikely event that they lose, they will suffer the most because they would have to work hard to regain power.

He likened the situation to football, saying, “When the keeper catches the ball, you play it back, and everyone follows it again.” This, he explained, is how the political game works.

He urged party supporters to hold onto power once they have it and not let it slip away. Quoting a popular saying, he remarked, “When they give you the option between your mother and power, choose power. Once you have the power, you can go and get your mother back.” He stressed that this demonstrates the significance of power.
