The Adhoc Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining has issued a response to recent allegations made by Mr. Kwame Baffoe, the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP. Mr. Baffoe claimed that the leadership of Organised Labour had demanded money as a condition to call off their planned strike action.
In a statement, the Committee urged the public to dismiss these allegations, labeling them as baseless and without merit.
The Committee stressed that no such demands or payments were made, affirming that their interactions with Organised Labour were conducted transparently and in good faith, with no inducements.
The Committee reiterated its dedication to working with all stakeholders to intensify the fight against illegal and irresponsible mining activities in the region.
