‘Deal with’ Democracy Hub protesters- Kwamena Duncan to Police

‘Deal with’ Democracy Hub protesters- Kwamena Duncan to Police

Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has encouraged the police to deal with arrested Democracy Hub protesters.
In an interview on an Accra Based radio station he said, “Every well-meaning Ghanaian who gets the opportunity to watch the video, just by watching the video, you get provoked and for the Police to contain themselves, to hold on in the face of this extreme provocation, I commend them highly”.

He noted, “the steps that have been taken by the police to arrest these lawless young people, the law must go through the full haul and deal with them, these are the things that will precipitate this country unto the path of disorder”.

Kwamena Duncan believes that the police must ensure the law takes its full course and they are currently in the right direction by arresting the protesters.

Over 30 protesters have been reportedly arrested in connection with the protest for causing destruction to properties and exhibiting other lawless behaviours.

They appeared before court on Monday September 23, 2024 and were taken back into police custody to reappear before the court on October 8.
