On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, President Nana Akufo-Addo will officially launch his campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election.

He will be joined by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and all NPP parliamentary candidates representing the 276 constituencies.

The campaign tour will kick off in the Upper East and Upper West Regions.

With about 65 days remaining until the December 7 election, sources indicate that the President is expected to visit all 16 regions during his campaign tour.

On Thursday, October 3, 2024, the President will briefly leave the country for official duties in France and Germany.

Upon his return, he will resume his regional campaign for the NPP’s 2024 ticket.

In the meantime, Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh have been actively campaigning in various constituencies over the past few months.

Currently, Dr. Bawumia is in the Western Region, while Dr. Opoku Prempeh is campaigning in the Ashanti Region.
