Vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has urged Ghanaians to vote for an experienced candidate and not one who will experiment with the economy.

Speaking to some market women at the Koforidua Central Market on Wednesday as part of her campaign tour of the Eastern Region, she noted that former President John Dramani Mahama has the requisite experience to lead Ghana out of the mess created by the Akufo-Addo/ Bawumia government.

According to her, Ghana is currently at a crossroad and it will take the experience and visionary leadership of the NDC presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama to get the country out of its present challenges and drive the needed transformation.

She encouraged them to vote for NDC as their next administration would provide support for market women and traders through the proposed Women’s Development Bank.

She added they will also have policies such as the National Apprenticeship Programme, the Big Push and the 24-Hour Economy which would also be introduced to provide jobs for the youth.

Prof Opoku- Agyemang also urged the Electoral Commission to be fair and transparent in its dealings with all political parties before, during and after the elections for peace to prevail.
