The Electoral Commission (EC) has addressed concerns raised by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding the printing of ballot papers for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
In its response, the EC clarified that the printing of ballot papers has not yet started, contrary to the NDC’s claims. However, the Commission acknowledged that preparations are in progress.
The EC, however announced that the printing of the notice of poll for presidential and parliamentary elections begins on Friday, October 11.
To ensure transparency, the EC assured political parties, including the NDC, that they will be provided with the ballot statistics prior to the start of the printing process.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with all political parties and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and credible electoral process as Ghana prepares for the 2024 general elections.
