The Chairperson of the Bawumia Campaign Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation and Environment, Dr. Emmanuel Marfo has outlined the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate’s visionary plan to propel Ghana’s economic development through science, technology and innovation.

The Science, Technology, Innovation and Enterprise (STI+ Plan), to be implemented under Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidency, aims to foster business growth, particularly in private institutions, to stimulate economic expansion. This plan embraces the Fourth Industrial Revolution, leveraging science and technology for national progress.

Dr. Marfo emphasized that the STI+ Plan will strengthen the Science Ecosystem through strategic investments, enhancing efficiency and informing a comprehensive national development plan. This initiative empowers university graduates to establish innovative businesses, reducing reliance on government employment.

Additionally, Dr. Bawumia’s plan invests in the private sector to boost productivity and drive economic growth, ultimately reducing unemployment rates through sustainable job creation. The STI+ initiative cultivates a knowledge-based economy, promotes entrepreneurship and innovation, and enhances Ghana’s competitiveness globally.

By embracing science, technology and innovation, Ghana can unlock its full potential, drive economic transformation and secure a brighter future for its citizens. Dr. Marfo expressed confidence that Dr. Bawumia’s visionary leadership will steer Ghana toward prosperity through the successful implementation of the STI+ Plan.
