Independent Presidential Candidate and Leader of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change, Alan Kyeremanten has announced his vision for the redevelopment of Ghana’s capital, Greater Accra Region.

The redevelopment vision dubbed the “Greater Accra Redevelopment Initiative” encompasses areas in Transport, sanitation, Road, health and other social amenities to make the capital a hub for economic development.

Mr. Kyerematen indicated that, the vision of his Greater Accra Redevelopment Initiative (GARI) is aimed at making Accra a top city in Africa by 2030.

He again noted that, the project has been strategically planned as part of his Great Transformational Plan (GTP) which will be aligned with governments donor fund projects.

“Implementation of GARI will involve a review and alignment of all ongoing government projects, including donor funded projects aimed at redevelopment of the city of Accra”.

According to Mr. Kyerematen, the project would include ; complete overhaul of the public transportation and Rapid Mass Transit systems in Accra, inner city traffic decongestion and effective Traffic Management Control in Accra, the reconstruction of Accra town Roads and Community Streets and Lanes.
