Vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has called on Ghanaians to unite in voting out the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration to bring positive change.

Speaking to NDC supporters in Adaklu Waya during her campaign in the Volta Region, she emphasized that only NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama has the experience necessary to lead the country out of its current economic difficulties.

“In the process of resetting, it is very important; we should be mindful of the person who is leading us, we need a leader who will tell us the truth, a leader who will not lie to us, a leader who respects, a leader who inspires, a leader who is so confident that when he makes a mistake he will accept it and leader who will take us forward”, she stated.

According to her, the NPP, vilified and lied against the NDC presidential candidate when he was president but time has vindicated him.

She added that, Mahama possesses all the qualities of a leader and would deliver to the satisfaction of all Ghanaians urging them to vote for him.

“Let us all be very careful. Now who are the guilty ones?”, she asked, adding “the people who accused him, now stand guilty.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang announced that the next NDC government would focus on policies to reduce hardships faced by Ghanaians, especially through youth empowerment and job creation.

Key initiatives include the 24-Hour Economy, a National Apprenticeship Programme, a Women’s Development Bank, and the Big Push—all designed to financially empower women, create jobs, and ease citizens’ struggles.

She called on everyone in the community including the chiefs and queen mothers to join in and also encouraged voters to support Mr. John Dramani Mahama in the presidential election and vote for NDC candidates in the parliamentary races.
