The Member of Parliament for Juaboso, Kwabena Minta Akandoh has accused the electoral commission of intending to rig the 2024 general elections in favor of the NPP.

According to him, the Electoral Commission has allegedly transferred the Juaboso District Electoral officer and appointed NPP members as Electoral Commission polling officers.

Addressing the media, Minta Akandoh also claimed that the Juaboso EC district Office is full of NPP members.

He added that the new EC District officer is related to the Deputy chairperson of the EC, Dr. Bossman Asare and considered that as part of NPP’s plan to rig the election in their favor.

“There is a clear indication that the newly appointed polling station officers are openly partisan because some of them were seen publicly endorsing Dr. Bawumia and the NPP Parliamentary Candidate in the Juaboso constituency”.

The legislature also cited that the list of 159 polling station officers published by the EC do not have their telephone numbers while some lack the required photographs which makes him doubt the authenticity of the data.
