The Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has described the 2024 general elections as significantly different from any held since 1992.

Addressing residents of Achiase in the Eastern Region during his campaign tour on Tuesday, November 19, Mahama emphasized the importance of taking lessons from the past eight years under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. He noted that the current administration, led by President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, had made numerous promises in 2016, yet failed to deliver, leaving Ghanaians grappling with severe economic hardship.

According to Mr. Mahama, the prevailing economic challenges, including rising hunger and struggling businesses, particularly
among factory owners and business managers, reflect the poor governance of the NPP. He argued that the time has come for Ghanaians to make decisions that secure a better future, particularly for the youth.

He urged voters to critically assess the current state of the nation and choose leadership that can address the economic challenges and restore hope for the country’s development.

Mr. Mahama’s campaign tour continues across various parts of the country as he seeks to galvanize support for the NDC ahead of the 2024 elections.
