We are pursuing an aggressive digitalization agenda under the land administration reform- Lands Minister

Minister of Lands and Natural Resources Samuel Abu Jinapor says the Lands commission’s successful transformative migration of its operations onto a digital environment has improved its productivity.

According to him, through digitalization the operations of the land’s commission has seen robust changes such as the promotion of the land administrative system which ensures adequate security and support resource development.

‘’Under the land administration reforms we are pursuing an aggressive digitalization agenda, which is geared towards promoting a robust land administrative system that ensure security, facility economic growth and support resource development’’.

Speaking at the commissioning of the new corporate Head Office on Monday November 25, 2024, Mr. Jinapor mentioned that, the digitalization efforts implored by the lands commission has helped the commission operate remotely in the six new regions of Ghana.

‘’We have established six (6) fully digitalized offices for the six new regions of Ahafo, bono east, north east, savannah, oti and western north’’.

He added that, Individuals can conduct searches in the commission’s record remotely at any time of the day.

Mr. Jinapor emphasized that, the migration of some operations of the commission unto the digital platform have improved the progress of the lands commission.

‘’The successful migration of some operations of the commission onto the digital environment through the enterprise land information system is proof of our progress’’.

‘’we have also rolled out the electronic property mass appraisal system , enabling re-evaluation in several metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies to improve revenue collection’’.
