The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has concluded investigations into an allegation levelled against the Secretary to the National Cathedral Board of Trustees, Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng, about having multiple names by Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

According to CHRAJ, they found no evidence of such, hence all allegations levelled against him have been cleared.

‘’The data provided the Commission shows that the 4th Respondent currently holds one non extant passport No. G3415693 issued on 27th October 2021, and set to expire on 26 October 2031, and one diplomatic Passport No. DX006845 issued on 25th November 2021 expiring on 24th November 2025. Two ordinary passports earlier issued to him have since expired.”

The report by CHRAJ revealed that, contrary to allegations that, Rev. Kusi Boateng also known as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, holds two different passports each bearing one of his names is untrue.

‘’Based on the evidence before it, the Commission finds that, contrary to the Complainant’s allegation that the 4th Respondent Victor Kusi-Boateng a.k.a Kwabena Adu Gyamfi holds two different passports each bearing one of his two names with different dates of birth on each document, the 4th Respondent rather holds one diplomatic and one ordinary passport only under his name Kwabena Adu Gyamfi. For avoidance of doubt, at no point in time has the 4th Respondent been issued a passport under his name, Victor Kusi-Boateng’’.

Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa petitioned the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to investigate Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng, Secretary to the National Cathedral Board of Trustees, over possessions of multiple documents with different names.

The petition also raised concern about the transfer of GH¢2.6 million from the National Cathedral Secretariat to JNS Talent Centre Limited, a company associated with Rev. Kusi Boateng under his alternative identity.
