Former Black Stars winger, Laryea Kingston has named both Asamoah Gyan and Mathew Amoah in his best Black Stars XI in the 21st century list.

Laryea Kingston spent close to a decade in the Black Stars between 2002 and 2010 making 41 appearances, scoring 6 goals and playing in the 2006 and 2008 African Cup of Nations.

The former Accra Hearts of Oak winger opted for a 4-4-2 formation, selecting players who dominated the Black Stars from 2000 to 2010.

Laryea selected his brother Richard Kingson as his goalkeeper while settling on John Paintsil, John Mensah, Eric Addo and Hans Adu Sarpie as his four defenders.

The midfield four are Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien, and Stephen Appiah, adding himself to complete the quartet.

He also chose Asamoah Gyan and Mathew Amoah who led Ghana to the Black Stars’ first appearance at the FIFA World Cup in 2006.
