Bawku conflict: Death toll rises to 33 as one more person killed in Mazema enclave

The death toll emerging from the Bawku Conflict has risen to 33 as one more person has been killed in the Mazema enclave.

The incident happened late Tuesday night, December 3, 2024 following a crossfire involving the military.

The death of Atengani brings the total death toll in Bawku to 33 since the conflict began in October this year.

Despite the curfew from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm imposed in the area, the conflict still remains the same with both the security forces and the residents finding it difficult to contain the situation in Bawku.
