Gabby Otchere-Darko, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has praised the achievements of the Akufo-Addo administration, particularly in the education sector.

He highlighted the historic milestone of commissioning 80 school buildings across Ghana on the same day, a feat unmatched by any government.

On Thursday, November 21, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo officially opened 80 completed educational projects in all 16 regions, aiming to improve access to quality education and create a better learning environment for students.

The event featured simultaneous commissioning ceremonies at both district and regional levels, with Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum playing a key role.

In a post on X he said, “No government in the history of our nation has been able to commission 80 school buildings on the same day across the country as we saw a few weeks ago. No government, until Akufo-Addo’s, had the courage to undertake 111 major hospital projects in over 101 districts and seven regions across the country, simultaneously”.

He criticize former President John Dramani Mahama over his stance on the Agenda 111 project.

Gabby questioned whether a Mahama-led government would be able to secure the $1.4 billion required to complete the ambitious healthcare project or if Mahama would instead prioritize new contracts for himself, as he has done in the past.

“Will a Mahama government find the $1.4 billion needed to complete Agenda 111 or find an excuse to focus on his own new contracts of priority if elected?” he added.
