President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has lauded the Electoral Commission (EC) for its professionalism and efficiency in preparing for the December 7 general elections.

In a national address shared via his official Facebook page, the President acknowledged the EC’s progress in recent years, emphasizing its transformation into a more ‘efficient and transparent’ institution. He also used the platform to make a final appeal to Ghanaians to exercise their civic duty by voting and respecting the electoral process.

Highlighting the EC’s role, President Akufo-Addo stated that its work stands as a testament to its reliability in organizing free and fair elections. “We are all ready to trust their responsibility of delivering a free, fair, and transparent election that will truly reflect the will of the people.”

The President urged all citizens to cooperate with electoral officials, ensuring the election is conducted smoothly.

President Akufo Addo making this address to the nation expressed confidence in the electoral process and called for collective responsibility of the electorate, security forces and the Electoral Commission to upholding Ghana’s democratic values.
