Member of Parliament elect for Ayawaso West-Wuogon, John Setor Dumelo, has attributed his recent parliamentary victory to his ability to handle trolling and negative comments effectively.

John Dumelo first announced his political ambitions in 2019 when he won the National Democratic Congress primaries in the Ayawaso West-Wuogon constituency.

In a post on his X page, Dumelo highlighted some disparaging remarks he faced over the years, including statements like, “John can never win Ayawaso,” “Ayawaso is an NPP stronghold,” and “Go to Volta and contest.”

According to him, these remarks fueled his determination and influenced his strategic approach to grassroots campaigning. “These statements made me work smarter to win the seat. Handling trolling well can make you succeed,” he shared.
