Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has disclosed that the New Patriotic Party ( NPP) has started auditing every constituency where they lost votes by significant margins in the just ended parliamentary and presidential elections.

According to him, all the areas which had issues with collation, they have their data and believe that if there is a transparent peaceful collation system, they would emerge victorious after the auditing.

Speaking in a recent interview he said, “We have commenced an audit of all other constituencies where we lost largely because what we realized is that some of our PC’s and their collation agents were forced to leave the collation centers but were putting that data together”.

He noted that they are working tirelessly on it and very soon they will come out and let Ghanaians know what really went on after Dr. Bawumia had conceded.

“We realized that a lot of these illegalities took place after Dr. Bawumia’s concession speech. When we thought that was going to rather rally the nation around and get us together, they rather took advantage and made our people flee various collation centers and that is where they did the agenda”.

“We’re now going into all of those now, people are being bold with their collation sheets, pink sheets so we’re taking our time because it is a matter of figures, we just can’t go publicly and talk when they ask for your figures you don’t have it we’re taking our time to look at them one by one” he revealed.

The majority leader stated that after the audit in whichever constituency they lost genuinely, they won’t come out to and make noise again.

“But where we think the evidence available shows there’s been something fishy we will petition the EC because a party out of right is entitled to demand for re collation and re counting because the law allows that” he highlighted.
