President-Elect John Dramani Mahama has set up an anti-corruption team as a preparatory measure to recover all proceeds of corruption and hold culprits involved responsible from 2025.

The initiative which is geared towards recovering all state property and assets from currupt state officials was announced as the ‘Operation Recover All Loot’ (ORAL) policy during Mahama’s campaign for presidency in 2024.

This team, according to a statement issued by the President-Elect’s transition team will gather information from the public and tip-offs on possible hubs or areas which have been claimed by state officials through corruption.

The team includes, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Immediate past Auditor General, Daniel Domelovo, COP Nathaniel Kofi Boakye (Rtd.), Martin Kpebu (Esq) and Investigative Journalist, Raymond Archer.

The statement signed by the Spokesperson of the Transition Team, Felix Kwakye Ofosu indicated that the ORAL policy is one of the policies H.E John Dramani Mahama is committed to initiating and would soon be implemented. “Anti-corruption with Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) as a major plank formed a core part of H.E John Mahama’s policy platform in the 2024 campaign and he intends to hit the ground running on these commitments” the statement stated.
