Black Galaxies head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has unveiled a 26-man squad for the first leg of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Nigeria.

The defensive lineup includes Razak Simpson (Nations FC), Nurudeen Abdulai (Medeama SC), Kusi Asante (Vision FC), Isaac Afful (FC Samartex 1996), and Kamaradini Mamudu (Medeama SC).

In midfield, Emmanuel Antwi (Asante Kotoko), Manuel Mantey (Medeama SC), and Ibrahim Hafiz (Attram de Visser) have earned spots. Leading the attack are Charwatey Faisal (Nations FC), Jerry Afriyie (Thoughts FC), Issah Yakubu (Basake Holy Stars), and Albert Amoah (Asante Kotoko SC).

The Black Galaxies will face Nigeria’s Super Eagles B on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 16:00 GMT (4:00 PM local time).

The second leg will be held in Nigeria on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

As part of their preparations, the Black Galaxies secured a victory over Togo in an international friendly last week, boosting confidence ahead of the high-stakes clash.

The 2025 CHAN tournament is set to take place across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

This marks the second consecutive meeting between Ghana and Nigeria in the qualifiers. The Black Galaxies edged out their rivals in a penalty shootout two years ago to earn a spot in the previous edition.
