The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League Matchday 16 produced thrilling encounters across various venues, with standout performances and surprising results.

Friday Night Action
Hearts of Oak continued their impressive form with a narrow 1-0 victory over relegation-threatened Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium. Ahmed Ramzy Yussif’s decisive strike in the 45th minute secured all three points for the Phobians.

Saturday Clash
Bibiani GoldStars claimed a convincing 2-0 win over Berekum Chelsea at DUN’s Park. After a cagey first half, Gideon Anaba broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute before an own goal by Seidu Mohammed in the 85th minute sealed the win for GoldStars.

Sunday Highlights
At the TNA Park, Medeama SC and Asante Kotoko shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Kwame Opoku’s 44th-minute strike gave Kotoko the lead before Kamaradini Mamudu equalized for Medeama in the second half.

Bechem United delivered a commanding performance at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, defeating Heart of Lions 3-0 to end their unbeaten run. Darlvin Yeboah opened the scoring late in the first half, followed by Emmanuel Abban’s brace, with goals in the 45th and 71st minutes, sealing an emphatic victory.

At the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Nations FC secured a 3-1 win over Basake Holy Stars. Razak Simpson’s 7th-minute opener was followed by Faisal Charwetey’s clinical finish in the 51st minute. Although Emmanuel Agyei pulled one back for the visitors in the 59th minute, Emmanuel Annor’s stunning volley in the 88th minute sealed the win.

Young Apostles finally broke their winless streak with a 2-0 triumph over Karela United at the Wenchi Sports Stadium. Samuel Prempeh’s 35th-minute strike put the hosts ahead, and a well-executed set piece in the 64th minute ensured their first win in five matches.
