In an official statement on their X page (formerly Twitter), Accra Hearts of Oak announced the transfer of Saani Mohammed to Danish club AC Horsens.

The 18-year-old midfielder, who joined Hearts of Oak in August 2024 from Soccer4Souls, signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with AC Horsens. The transfer deal is reportedly valued at €250,000.

Saani Mohammed played a pivotal role in the Phobians’ strong start to the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season, contributing two assists in 13 league appearances. His standout performances made him a key figure in the team’s campaign so far.

At the time of his departure, Hearts of Oak sat fifth in the league standings and are gearing up for a crucial clash against reigning champions FC Samartex on Sunday, January 19, in Samreboi. This match will mark the end of the first round of the league campaign.

Mohammed now joins AC Horsens, who are currently fourth in the Danish First Division with 31 points. The team has recorded nine wins, four draws, and five losses in the season so far, positioning them as strong contenders in the league.
