Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has alleged that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government bugged the Jubilee House before leaving office.

According to him, the Akufo-Addo government budged the Seat of Government in order to spy on the activities of the newly sworn in president, John Dramani Mahama and his staff.

Mustapha Gbande said the delay in President John Dramani Mahama moving to the Jubilee House is because they have to properly sweep the facility for bugs planted by the past government whom he described as wicked.

“We had intel that as they were exiting the presidency, they were bugging the building so that they can have more information from the NDC and the incoming government. They are evil-minded people.”

“We had evil people occupying the seat so we need to cleanse and purify the place. They have to check the security and make sure the place is secured. You don’t think that the presidency requires some level of spiritual purification and security when the people have defrauded God with money?” he said.

Mustapha Gbande added that it is not out of place for John Dramani Mahama to wait till the Jubilee House is cleared of all threats before he moves in.

“We are now putting measures in place to designate the necessary offices. It is all resetting and so I don’t think it is out of place that President Mahama is not operating from the Jubilee House.”
