President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians that he stands as a leader for all, regardless of political, ethnic, or religious affiliation.

He emphasized that the nation has reached a moment for unity, urging citizens to set aside their political differences and work collectively for the greater good and progress of Ghana.

Speaking at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, January 12, in Accra, he described the victory being celebrated as not his alone but a triumph for a united nation, bonded by faith and hope. He highlighted the role of divine intervention and the collective prayers of millions of Christians who entrusted God to guide the nation through, attributing the success to God’s marvelous works.

President Mahama expressed deep gratitude to his team, acknowledging their dedication, sacrifice, and belief in a shared vision for the nation. He recognized the personal costs many endured to achieve this milestone and extended appreciation for their unwavering support throughout the journey.

He commended the Christian community and faith-based organizations for their steadfast prayers, encouragement, and active participation during the electoral process. He noted that their involvement served as a source of strength for him and his team, while also demonstrating the power of faith and unity during challenging times.

The President acknowledged the crucial role churches play in fostering peace and stability in Ghana, emphasizing their efforts in promoting love, unity, and civic responsibility. He praised the spiritual guidance provided, which he credited for the peaceful navigation of the election season.

He reaffirmed Ghana’s status as a beacon of democracy in Africa and expressed gratitude for the collective efforts that have kept the nation on this path. He called on all Ghanaians to celebrate this victory not just as a political achievement but as a national triumph, urging unity and collaboration for the continued development and prosperity of the nation.
