Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team, Xorlali Agbemava has commended President John Dramani Mahama for his appointments, describing them as steps in the right direction.

In an interview with Bismark Brown on Happy98.9FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show, Agbemava noted that Ghanaians were dissatisfied with the previous administration under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. He explained that this frustration led the electorate’s decision to vote for President Mahama, with high expectations that he would deliver on his campaign promises.

Agbemava stressed the importance of carefully selecting appointees who are capable and experienced, adding that the appointments made so far reflect sound judgment.

He specifically praised the nomination of Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine as Attorney General and Minister for Justice Designate, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Finance Minister Designate, and John Jinapor as Energy Minister Designate. According to Agbemava, these individuals bring a wealth of experience, having previously served as deputy ministers, and possess the expertise required to effectively manage their respective ministries.

Agbemava also highlighted the consistent and effective roles these individuals played while in opposition, serving on various committees. He emphasized that President Mahama’s focus on consistency and experience in his appointments demonstrates his commitment to building a competent team capable of steering Ghana toward progress.

Agbemava expressed confidence in the appointees, stating that they are well-deserving of their roles and have the ability to deliver results that will help make Ghana great again.
