Yaa Gifty, the wife of the murdered Asante Kotoko supporter, Nana Pooley has reacted to the tragic death of her husband.

According to Yaa Gifty, she spoke to her husband in the afternoon of Sunday, February 2, 2025, after he arrived safely in Nsoatre for the Kotoko game only to hear that he has been killed two hours later.

The widow who was struggling for words amidst her tears said she doesn’t have much to say about the murder of her husband except that God will fight her battles and no one else.

“He told me in the morning that he was going to Nsoatre for the Kotoko game and he called me when he got there, even when they didn’t want them to enter he told me about all that happened and now he is dead.”

“I couldn’t believe it when I heard the news and was even sad that I had to hear about the death of my husband on social media. God will fight my battle for me,” Yaa Gifty added.

Nana Pooley and Yaa Gifty tied the knot in Kumasi in August 2024 and are expecting a child according to reports.

Nana Pooley was fatally stabbed in a melee during a game between Kotoko and Nsoatreman in Nsoatre, Bono Region, on January 2, 2024.

Multiple reports suggest he was stabbed five times and succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
