The minority has strongly cautioned that Dr. Johnson Asiamah should stay away from the Bank of Ghana until his nomination as Governor is approved by the Council of state.
Speaking at the Press Conference held in Parliament today, the MP for Tano North, Gideon Brako stated that Dr. Johnson Asiamah who has been nominated to the high office of the Governor at the Central Bank waiting for approval after consultation by the Council of state was seen attempting to assume duties as if he was legally qualified to do so.
“Supposing the Council of state when constituted does not approve the president’s nomination of Dr. Asiamah what would be his presence and activities at the bank in the interim” he asked
The minority also expressed concern about President Mahama appointing someone who is on a criminal trail to supervise the financial sector.
