Senior Presidential Advisor and Chairperson of the newly formed 120-Day Social Contract Taskforce, Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, has pledged the team’s unwavering commitment to executing the mandate entrusted to them by President John Dramani Mahama.

She assured that the taskforce would not fail the President, the people of Ghana, or the vision set for national development.

Speaking at the official inauguration of the 19-member taskforce at the Jubilee House on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, she emphasized that their work is backed by painstaking calculation and consideration of various permutations to ensure all initiatives are not only available but also doable and sustainable. The taskforce, she noted, will act with urgency and precision to deliver on key promises within the first four months of the President’s second term.

Dr. Sawyerr stated that the President’s word is his bond, and the team is prepared to overcome any obstacles that may hinder the fulfillment of his commitments to the people of Ghana. The taskforce will ensure that policies in critical sectors such as job creation, education, healthcare, and infrastructure are efficiently executed to meet the expectations of Ghanaians.

The team is set to monitor, evaluate, and drive progress while ensuring transparency and accountability in all aspects of implementation. The government, she reiterated, remains steadfast in its duty to the people, and nothing will stand in the way of delivering on its promises.
