A man who decided to use his ‘wanted’ poster from police as his Facebook profile picture was outwitted by social media – when it helped cops catch him.
Mack Yearwood was being sought by police after they were called to a battery complaint on Monday August 29.
The 41-year-old suspect had fled the scene on SE 13th Street in Stuart, Florida, and left officers with few clues.
But when the police went online , they found out more than he might have wanted them to.
“They went on Facebook and found that he had open warrants from another county,” Sgt. Heather Rothe from Stuart Police told WPBF

Yearwood posted his mugshot as his profile picture on Facebook and police collared him

When they read his ‘wanted’ poster, they realised there was already an arrest warrant out for Yearwood on battery charges.
Rothe adds: “I did chuckle, yes.”
The following day, the officers returned to the 13th Street property and arrested Yearwood.
And his bad luck just got worse, as a pair of jeans he requested to wear to the station had a bag of marijuana in the pocket that fell out.
