The National Education Forum committee is set to include religious groups in deliberations on how to enhance Ghana’s education system.

This follows a press statement issued by two influential religious groups – Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference and Christian Council of Ghana expressing dissatisfaction in their exclusion from the forum held last week.

The statement addressed to the Ministry of Education by GCBC and CCG called for a reconsideration of their exclusion — described as ‘a setback to inclusive discussions on the future of education in Ghana.’

“Our exclusion from this vital forum undermines the collaborative spirit that is essential to the success of any educational policy or reform. The national discourse on education requires the involvement of all stakeholders, including religious bodies, educators, and parents, whose input can guide the formation of policies that align with the values, traditions, and aspirations of the people of Ghana.” a part of the statement read.

The National Education Forum Committee on Wednesday February, 26 will engage religious bodies with others to consider their views on how to optimize Ghana’s education system and ensure quality delivery for nation building.
