Leader of the Hajj Taskforce, Alhaji Collins Dauda has cautioned Travel and Tour Agents against late registration of pilgrims for the Hajj pilgrimage.

Speaking during the Sod- Cutting ceremony of the New Hajj Village in Accra on Friday February 28, 2025, he emphasized the need for prompt payment to avoid embarrassment.

Alhaji Collins Dauda reiterated the deadline for pilgrims’ payments is 13th March, 2025.

“The Hajj process has begun, we have met Hajj Agents, we have taken them through the timeline and we have indicated to them that 13th March, 2025 would be the deadline for the payment for pilgrims”.

He stated unequivocally, “After 13th March, 2025, we won’t accept any more payments. We want to be on time and ensure that no pilgrim is left behind.”

The New Hajj Village located near the Kotoka International Airport when completed would have a mosque, residential accommodation, a clinic and conference spaces.
