The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo has criticized the previous government for failing to complete a single hospital during their eight years in power.

Speaking in Parliament during the State of the Nation Address debate on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Mr. Adongo pointed out that after eight years of New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership, the government cannot present a completed and functioning hospital, claiming that all their projects remain unfinished.

He highlighted that since 2017, the NPP has consistently stated that their projects are at various stages of completion, yet Ghanaians have never seen them finished. He humorously referred to the situation as “Bawumia baako, uncompleted projects bebree,” rhetorically questioning when these projects would ever be completed.

“Mr. Speaker, we live in a country where after eight years some people cannot show us a completed functioning hospital, all they have are uncompleted projects under various stages of completion. We have been hearing under various stages of completion since 2017, when are you going to complete them?, of course ‘Bawumia baako, uncompleted projects bebree’, yeah,” he said

Mr. Adongo further emphasized that the NPP government left behind a struggling economy, which President John Dramani Mahama outlined in his first SONA on February 27, 2025.
