Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George has announced through a partnership with telecom companies operational in Ghana, a special bundle offer in commemoration of Ghana’s 68th Independence Day.

The ‘Special Independence Day Bundle’ package, according to the minister who announced in an official statement across social media, was authorized by President John Dramani Mahama.

“All three telecom companies have agreed to offer a GHS10 bundle which would offer 6GB of data instead of the usual 1GB regular offering or 3GB offerings on holidays for the same price.” George said.

The Minister indicated that this historic move forms part of the Ministry’s commitment to pave way for a new era in digitalization for Ghana, as it gears up to commence deliberations on substantial initiatives to bring this ambition into fruition for the benefit of all Ghanaians. “This highlights our commitment as a government to build the enablers for a truly digitalized Ghana that offers the vast opportunity of the interconnected world to Ghanaians right in the comfort of their homes. Tomorrow, the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations would outline short, medium and long term plans towards a sustained reduction in data prices In service to God and Country. 🦁🇬🇭.” he said.
