Lottery, trading in cocaine and drinking alcohol are not sinful- Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi

Head pastor of Glorious Wave Church International Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has caused a stir by asserting that staking of lottery, dealing in cocaine and drinking alcohol cannot be labeled as sins.
According to the generous man of God, lottery is just like any risk-taking business and should hence not be demonized. He also added that dealing in cocaine isn’t sinful just as drinking good wine isn’t.
Speaking on Happy FM’s ‘Nsem Pii’ Thursday afternoon, Prophet Kobi argued that pastors who label lottery as sinful get it wrong because there are several disguised lotteries that even those pastors take part but overlook it thinking lottery is only that which you stand by a kiosk to stake.
“I wish to state categorically that staking of lottery is not a sin. Pastors who go about demonizing lottery get it wrong because most of them even take part in several of such. Most of these pastors apply for the American lottery and enter into several raffles but don’t see them as sinful. Lottery is purely business just like any risk-taking business so it can’t be termed a sinful act.” Prophet Badu Kobi said.
On the issue of cocaine, he said because it possesses some medicinal values, some countries deal in it among themselves so they can use it for that purpose. He quizzed whether anyone has seen cocaine being disposed off after they are impounded and added that taking some wine occasionally should not be labeled as sinful.
“Dealing in cocaine is not a sin. I know that cocaine possess some medicinal values that’s why even some countries trade in it among themselves for such purposes. Drinking some alcohol occasionally is also not a sin. The bible doesn’t frown on drinking good wine.” Prophet Kobi told Nyansa Boakwa on Nsem Pii.
Prophet Kobi is renowned for his magnanimity among which include blessing some Ghanaian celebrities like Daddy Lumba, Charles Taylor, Nicholas Omane Acheampong, Opanin Kwadwo Kyere and Obaapa Christie among others.
