The Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, is set to unveil the 2025 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament today.

The budget presentation will mark a major milestone for the Mahama administration, as it outlines its first comprehensive economic plan since taking office.

The highly anticipated budget aims to chart a path towards economic recovery, focusing on stabilizing the nation’s economy, addressing fiscal challenges, and fostering sustainable growth.

A key highlight of the proposal is the removal of controversial taxes introduced by the previous administration, including the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy), the COVID-19 Health Levy, and the Betting Tax.

In addition to tax reforms, the budget would emphasize job creation, infrastructure modernization, and social interventions designed to uplift the living standards of Ghanaians.

The Mahama administration has reiterated its commitment to implementing policies that create a conducive environment for businesses and alleviate economic pressure on citizens.
