The Chief Executive Officer of Precious Mineral Marketing Company (PMMC), Sammy Gyamfi has emphasized that today’s budget, presented by the Finance Minister, will restore the hope that has been lost among Ghanaians.

Speaking to Happy Kaseɛbɔ ahead of the 2025 budget presentation on Tuesday, March 11, at Parliament House in Accra, Mr. Gyamfi expressed optimism regarding the first budget of President Mahama’s administration. He believes that the budget, to be presented by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, will inspire hope, especially among the youth of the country.

“Today is a great day, it’s a day for the first budget reading for the Mahama government since our emphatic victory at the polls. I’m very confident and optimistic that the budget that will be presented by the finance minister, my brother, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, will be one that will inspire hope.”

Mr. Gyamfi noted that hope has been scarce in Ghana over the past eight years. However, he is confident that today’s budget will restore that hope, addressing the needs of both the youth and the wider Ghanaian population.

He further highlighted that the budget is designed to alleviate hardships and introduce vital reforms to reset the economy and create a favorable business environment for the country.

“Hope is one commodity that has been very scarce in our country in the last eight years. But believe me, hope is back. The youth of this country will find hope in the budget that will be read today, because this is a budget which is going to respond to the needs and aspirations of the people of Ghana.”
