Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central Constituency, John Kwame Jack, has lauded Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson for engaging the public ahead of the 2025 budget presentation.

According to him, this is unprecedented in the country’s history.

In an interview with Bismarck Brown on the “Epa Ho A Daben” political talk show on Happy 98.9 FM, the legislator described the Finance Minister’s approach as a step in the right direction.

He noted that the engagement with the public, including market women, helped the finance minister incorporate the needs and aspirations of citizens.

“At the end of the day, we ought to give the public what they want, not what we have,” he said.

However, he acknowledged that the 2025 budget cannot meet all expectations in every sector of the economy.

Nevertheless, he expressed confidence that the measures put in place by the Mahama led administration would accommodate the needs of the people of Ghana.

“I can tell you emphatically that everybody is pleased with the 2025 budget that was presented on Tuesday, March 11, 2025”.
