President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving road infrastructure in the Upper East Region

He made this announcement during his “Thank You Visit” to the region on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

He emphasized that these projects are crucial for boosting trade and enhancing market access for farmers and businesses.

As part of his priority road projects, he outlined the completion of the Bolgatanga-Bawku road, describing it as a critical route that will facilitate trade and improve transportation for farmers and businesses.

Acknowledging the poor condition of the road, he stressed the urgency of its completion to enhance connectivity in the region.

He also pointed to other major road projects, like the development of a direct link between Bolgatanga, the capital of the Upper East Region, and Wa, the capital of the Upper West Region.

Additionally, he announced the selection of the Navrongo-Sandema road as a strategic project aimed at improving accessibility and regional integration.
